We are definitely learning in partnership and it´s same in that one with Actiu. Because of that we decided to visit their headquarter in the Spain nearby sunny Alicante.

ACTIU is among the 20 largest European manufacturers of office furniture. It has been operating on the market for almost 50 years since the beginning of the millennium and is one of the most popular manufacturer's for the offices and public spaces.
At the beginning of the month we took part training at the headquarter of ACTIU, in Spanish city Castalla. As usually, we went through many presentations. Certainly noteworthy is a huge fabric of production consisting of several objects even outside of the new technology park.
The total area of the park is 200,000 square meters of green area occupied by an impressive 130,000 square meters of greens. Right in the ACTIU within Europe is located on the roof of its Technology Park, greatest amount of solar collectors of the all industrial buildings. They produce so much energy, which not only covers their consumption, but they are able to sell the energy.
Underground cisterns keep 12,000 cubic of rainwater, which are collected from a special designed roofs, what is the pretty high number despite the typical dry, hot weather. For the standards and solutions of this environmentally sustainable technology park ACTIU received one of the most prestigious certificates Leed® gold and now they are working to increase it to the Leed® platinum.
On the area 6 thousand square meters is placed office building and on the top floor is placed showroom with beautiful views on the castle, as well as meetings rooms. All floors undergoing an architectural gem in the form of a spiral staircase. On the lowest level is a garden with palms.
In several days of training we gained a new knowledge and in addition we enjoyed fantastic Spanish food and unique atmosphere of Spain - contentment and friendly people for what we le look forward on our next visit.
