The effort to constantly improve shapes the work of Actiu, and the result is another award that its president take over from Spanish His and Her Majesty.

The president and founder of Actiu, Vicent Berbegal, received the National Design Award from their Royal Majesties the King and Queen of Spain. He was accompanied by his whole family, his wife Carmen Roque and their children Carmen, Laura and Soledat Berbegal, who represent the company’s second generation.
Berbegal emphasised how important this recognition was to the effort and dedication of everyone who have been a part of and who are currently a part of Actiu. Without them, the company would not have managed to achieve the position that it is in today, or to receive such a prestigious award as this.
The King and Queen of Spain chaired the awards ceremony of the National Awards of Innovation and Design 2017 celebrated at the Bosque de Móstoles Theatre near Madrid. The award is granted by the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness through the Secretary of State for Research, Development and Innovation.
These distinctions are the highest award given in Spain in recognising companies and professionals that stand out for their excellent career and exemplary in the field of design and innovation. Meaning that they recognise innovation and design as essential factors to increase competitiveness and economic performance, as well as providing quality of life to citizens.
The jury, made up of renowned professionals in the fields of innovation and design, decided the award-winners in 2017; National Design Award, Professional category to Manuel Estrada Pérez; National Design Award, Companies category, to Actiu Berbegal and Formas S.A.; National Innovation Award, Innovative Career category, to Antonio Muñoz Beraza; National Innovation Award, Internationalisation category, to the Spanish Society of Electromedicine and Quality S.A. (SEDECAL).
Vicent Berbegal stated that “this award serves as a huge boost and motivation for Actiu. The fact that they value the effort, investment and our passion to continuously innovate is so important, as the design has been strategically key for all the people and processes at the company”.
