25 years resided Alcatel-Lucent in 9 buildings that technologically didn´t meet demands and needs of the company. How has changed its spaces to modern and interative place?

Alcatel - Lucent is one of the leading specialists in the area of telecommunications, which headquarters is located in the French Boulogne-Billancourt. Since January this year, is led by the Finnish Nokia. It is occupying the highest positions in a ranking of the industry. Alcatel has been declared as Industry Group Leader for Technology Hardware & Equipment sector in 2014 in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices Review and the 2014 Thomson Reuters Top 100 Global Innovators in the 4 consecutive year. Productive work of its employees was awarded by 8 Nobel Prizes and holds 29 thousand patents.

12 kilometres from Milan is SEGRO Energy Park, where today setas the Italian branch of Alcatel-Lucent. During its 25 years of activity in this area, Alcatel needed to modernize technology, functional design and equipment. The company originally was located in 9 different buildings that were obsolete and had technological problems, which is unthinkable for a telecommunications company.
Alcatel has moved to five buildings that combine offices and laboratories and sprawls over the area of 51 thousand square meters. The full realization has managed by DEGW Italia and was in charge of designing and building of object, where comes 1,250 employees every day.

All offices and laboratories are linked by a conjunction with double height undulating glass wall. Where the connector crosses the reception of each building will find different series of lounges. Right they are furnished with cluster eye-catching seating. Chairs and ottomans in irregular shapes are upholstered in bright colors, while all other areas remain predominantly white. One of the most outstanding characteristics is the the lighting in the shape of an inverted volcano. The cornet is coated with fabric and LED light changing colors, which creates a pleasant atmosphere.
