After a long pause comes the second part of the series about acoustic panels by Caimi with patented Snowsound technology. We will look to particulary materials that are at the core of the panels and their properties.
Snowsound in short

Material used on panels are extra resistant, nonflammable and light
Product should not harm the quality of life at the expense of visual effects, but should be part of and supports the full use of human potential. Acoustic panels Caimi are fulfilling this requirement. Why?
Because of :
Mark of quality. Snowsound panels, when hanging from the ceiling, all bear the CE mark according to the harmonised technical specification EN 13964 for use as a suspended ceiling, to facilitate its sale in the European Community, pursuant to Regulation (EU no. 305/2011).
Resistancy against heigh temperature. To simulate theinfluence of the seasonson indoor environments, snowsound panels are subjected to weather conditions acycleofextreme according to ISO 9142 standards in a climate chamber at -20 ° C (-4 F) to +70 C (+168 'F and humidity up to 90%.
They don´t support fire spreading. The single panel material in its entirety, external fabric and soundabsorbing interior material has Italian class 1 and to Euroclass classification as a reaction to fire. The tests were done on finished panels, composed of sound-absorbing materials upholstered in fabric on both sides, as required by law. This type of product is not conducive to testing the upholstery and padding separately.
Snowsoud technology produces extremely thin yet durable, lightweight and easy to handle panels, averaging per Kg.
The seamless surface of the panels is easy to clean with appropriate detergents.
Panels are 100% recycled
In the designing of the panel set the objective was to obtain the entire recyclabilty of the product at the end of its useful life, in a manner both rapid. For this reason, the panels have been made of polyester: Therefore they are "single material" and 100% recyclable without the need of having to separate the outer fabric from the sound orbing inner material. Also, all components are made of single materials, plastic or metal and can be easily disassembled, thus permitting recycling the whole product at 100%. The use of high quality materials and processing moreover, make it possible to obtain longer product life usage, resulting in reduced consumption of materials and energy. The internal sound-absorbing material is produced with up to 30% recycled material. The panels do not contain felt or other organic materials which are difficult to recycle.
